I agree with you about lemon and kumkum, and also using Sambrani sticks or cones. Its one of the most powerful incense cones for removal or banishment of evil and negative energies. A few years ago, I heard of a purohit who was invited to Hamburg in Germany to help out in the Indian community. He said he would go only if he was allowed to bring Sambrani with him. Finally his request was granted for a huge quantity to be taken to Hamburg and he happily travelled there.
