Dear Narasimhaye,Thank you very much for your answering my question. Really appreciate it.I have been wearing my mala for a week and half now and I must admit that I much calmer and peaceful and content.I am simply in love with my beads wouldn't trade them for anything in this world!!!My question is now then.. every morning after my shower... I offer incense to the mala and chant the beeja mantra for each mukhi (1-19) 108 times and then say 'Om Namah Shivaya' 108. before moving on to chant my 5 other mantras for my yantras It's time consuming but I don't mind. My question then is that can the mala be over re- energised? Also, can do I have to hide my mala , cover the mala up when wearing. is it okay for the mala to be exposed when worn?Thank you very muchOM NAMAH SHIVAYA--- On Thu, 10/22/09,

Dear Angela,

Its fine for your boyfriend or anyone to touch your rudraksha beads. They get blessings from your beads from being around you, and you get blessings for spreading the goodness of Lord Shiva's sacred beads.

Touching is fine but lending beads for people to wear over an extended period is not advisable. This is because rudraksha form a relationship with its/their owner after getting assimilated with its owners' energies. Anyway, you will continue to receive benefits.

You have done a lot of re- energization yesterday but all that is good. Normally devotees chant either Beej mantra for each bead or the Universal mantra (Om Namah Shivaya) 108 times.

Om Namah Shivaya
