Guest guest
Namaste Kiran, I feel the same with you about rudrakshas, wanting to get more and more beads to make a good collection. You are right, its a matter of time! Please totally ignore that line about wearing rudraksha without mantra. Out of all the holy books, only this one mentions this to frighten people. All the others do not mention this. So this means the majority are correct. Sometimes its a matter of translation or transliteration that make holy texts sound negative. The translations and/or transliterations are made by mankind who are not necessarily rishis or gurus. There are many people who wear rudraksha without chanting mantra and they still get blessings. Its a matter of having belief, faith and devotion while wearing them. Your fear does not sound childish. Many friends have the same feelings when they first begin to wear the holy beads. After a period of time, you will have the experience to conquer fears and a lot of other feelings. Its completely fine not to take off your malas while reciting mantra. The beads and malas can be placed on silver dish on puja table for performing mantras, making offerings or puja to Lord Shiva. The same with the rudrakshas you are wearing round the waist. When you chant mantra, use a Japa Mala which has 108 + 1 beads. Mantra should be changed 108 times only. The extra 9th bead is called Sumeru or Meru. This signals you've completed a round of 108 times of recitation. Fingers should stop exactly at 108 times. Hope this helps.
