Here is some information i feel on " Pigeons or Bird feeding " Freeing of caged birds or Feeding of free birds (specially pigeon) will ward off ill effect of mercury (lalkitab remidies) North-East and North-West corners is prefered to do this holly task feeding of birds is good s for specially with bajra/makka or ny round/full grains etc, donot feed with broken rice it will give negetive effect, i sugest don't make any cage / box just keep a hanging feeder, place for grains and water i second placing 5 muki at hanging feeder for hormony and good health of birds Why some people will call it bad u need to chk, becasue of following resons 1) the bird ur feeding NE corner, which is called deva mule need to be clean always but due to birds waste/not maitain properly u will get negetive energy - keep the place cleen always 2) also because of wrong feeding many people throw leftover food items to birds so think they r feeding - its wrong, birds also has life it may go ill or if dies - the house person will be responsible - feed good things only 3) chk for enemy attacks, if ur giving shelter u have the responsible to protect them from cats, dog or wild bird etct, do periodic check take necessary action if u can't do all pls don't do it at home of some one risk, if u love doing ur always have option to feed near temple, pond, park etc Om Nama Shivaya ! Feeding preferences of birds are as varied as the species themselves. The first step in choosing the right feeder is determining the birds you want to attract to your yard. Determine the bird's favorite seed and what kind of feeder it prefers. Some birds like to feed from hanging feeders, while others prefer platform feeders. If you are planning to attract goldfinches for instance, you would want a hanging feeder. A hanging thistle feeder would be the ideal choice. The small feeding ports in a thistle feeder prevent larger birds from " hogging " the seed. If pigeons are a problem, you want to select a feeder that would prevent or at least deter pigeons from taking over the feeder. Larger birds such as blue jays enjoy a platform feeder with plenty of room for sunflower seeds and peanuts in the shell. Platforms are a great way to serve up stale bread, and pieces of fruit. Functional feeders are made of durable materials that help keep the seed clean and dry. They also provide easy access for the birds and are easy for you to fill and keep clean.
