Guest guest
In short, a mantra is a mystic Vedic syllable or set of syllables that brings benefits to the person reciting it/them. Sadhana means 'discipline'. Hence the meaning is 'Mantra Discipline'. A sadhak is the person undertaking a discipline. One is either given a mantra by a guru to chant or selects one that he/she feels is suitable for a given circumstance. One performs it by either adding a puja process whereby offerings are made to Shiva or another deity, and reciting a mantra using a Japa Mala of 108 beads to count 108 times of a Japa process. The sadhak may meditate over whether he/she wants to perform 30 days, 45 days, 54 or 90 days of a discipline. The effects are similar to that of dedicated meditation. , gnepdoc wrote: > > > > Hello in line with what was discussed earlier can I ask a very basic question what is mantra sadhana? > How does one perform it? > How does it benefit us? > Can we do it to help others ?? > > Regards > GN > ------------------ >
