Dear Bala,

 

Rudrakshas turn very dark brown color or black when they have been worn many

years. This is due to body chemicals, sweat and dirt. Yes you can continue to

wear after washing with a bit of lemon juice in water. Use soft tooth-brush for

cleaning bead. After that, let the bead dry. When completely dry, apply oil to

make lustre come back and wear again. It does not denote any bad effects of body

and mind.

Hello... I used to wear a 5-face rudraksha for the past 6-7 years. But a month

before i have realized that the rudraksha has gone black, so i removed it. Can i

continue wearing the same or change it? Does it denote any bad effects on body

and mind?
