Guest guest
Dear Sh Narasimhaye Ji, I have few uncoloured copper Yantras at my altar. Every Friday or Sunday I rinse them gently with Water and immediately dry them with white cotton cloth. On auspicious days, I do milk abhishek also and then again wash them with water and then dry them. But even after that the Yantras have developed some stain due to atmospheric effect or due to rinsing. The permanent stains are mostly at spots where chandan/ vermillion/haldi dots are put. In such cases I clean them with salt and Lemon. They become clean and sparkling after that, but some sections of permanent stains have happened which do not go. Even if they do not develop stains , after some time they become dull and loose lustre and necessitate cleaning with salt-lemon. My queries are: 1. What is the ideal way of maintaining Yantras? What should be the frequency of cleaning them and how it is to be done? 2. I read somewhere, If Yantra become peranently stained or loose lustre it should be left at temple or disposed in water, as it may become malefic. What do you say about that? Warm regards, Vishal
