Dear Deepak,

Its not a sad incident, please don't worry... It sounds like Lord Shiva trying to give you a message. From holy texts, its known that Shiva sometimes appear in the form of a dog or black dog to faithful devotees.

Maybe right at that time, He was trying to tell you that you should wear 1 mukhi hence your dog chewing the 7-faced bead into 1 mukhi to reduce the mukhis immediately.

The 'damaged' bead can either be kept on the puja altar inside a box and be replaced with a 7 mukhi or 1 mukhi rudraksha.

However pl also sit down for a few minutes for 3 days to meditate and see if you really wish to dispose of the bead. If you do, then bury it in the ground after offerings. It can also be given to the local temple, a friend, relative or family member.
