Procedure of giving away rudraksha

Dear GN,

If you have extra beads that you would like to give to someone, wash the

beads with Ganga jal with a few drops of lemon juice. Use a soft

toothbrush to scrub off dirt and grit. Rinse the beads with rosewater.

Let them dry naturally under room temperature for one day to a few days

(depending on temperature of where we live, whether its a cold or warm

country). After the beads are completely dry, place them on a platter

on the altar. Light some incense sticks, oil lamp and offer flowers and

fruits along with the rudraksha to Lord Shiva in your friend's name.

Then give the beads away.
