Guest guest
Dear Rahul, No the beads do not lose electromagnetic energies badly when attacked by insects although they can do some damage inside the beads like making them brittle. Its important to keep an eye out and store beads and malas properly in wooden containers with tight lids, stainless steel or silver containers that don't open easily. The containers can be placed on the altar. Its essential to wash, thoroughly dry and oil rudraksha every 2 or 3 months. This regular maintanence procedure will make sure that rudraksha remain strong, healthy and will last a life time or more. They can be handed down the generations like heirlooms.
