Namaskar Jagannath,

Excellent question and suggestion from you, thanks! You have jogged my memory about Neem and Tulasi oils.

Yes, Neem oil mixed with any cold-pressed 'carrier' oil is wonderful for oiling rudraksha and everything else because it contains a lot of medicinal properties and is also highly recommended by Ayurvedic practitioners for many ailments. Being more classified as a "Shiva" oil, we can perhaps suggest its use for Shaivites if they like it.

Tulasi oil, being another strong oil is recommended to be used after mixing with cold-pressed carrier oil of any type. Its suggested for Vaishnavites if they wish to use it.

About the book by Subas Rai, its indeed another great publication. I'm not sure if its back in stock at Rudra Centre by now. Please send an enquiry to:

I am so eager to read the same. Do you know by chance when this book would be available in print.> > Kind Regards,> Jagannath>
