Dear Kalpesh,

Rudraksha mala and Sphatik mala are very good for japa. Rudraksha

represents Shiva. Sphatik represents Shakti. When the mala or mala

string is broken, its an auspicious symbol that the mala, beads and

string have all worked together to banish harm from coming.

Hello Sirji,

Thanks for your knowledge & details.....

Since I have been doing jap on these malas on daily basis & this was

not started to gain or to accomplish my personal desires I cannot

think of living a day without doing jap & believe to continue this as

long as it takes...so I take due care of both the malas and the

sphatik malas string seems will breakup soon, can you pls advise me

if....

1- Can I remake the mala with new string, the crystal beeds are still

fine OR

2- Should I keep the broker string mala in alter / pooja room & take

new Sphatik mala

3- do I have to perform any special pooja for any of the above...

4- Also, for the purpose of longivity in using malas can I replace

the string with nylon / silk string so it is more durable.

5- Can jap only be done with malas, I have come across people saying

It's all right if you memorise the mantras in mind sitting in a

steady posture.

thank you...

Kalpesh
