Guest guest
Namaste! PAMHO/AGTSP and all devotees Here is a short list (there are many more sources available than just what I am adding here - please Google!) of vegetarian/vegan sources, all of which contain either B12 specifically (in addition to other vitamins), or B vitamins (as well as other vitamins). Peruvian maca, raw cacao beans, spirulina, and bee pollen all contain B12. Chlorella contains the highest amount of B12, even higher than consuming liver. Wheatgrass, kelp, molasses, and goji berries contain all but B12. Apricot kernels contain B17. A study conducted at Yale University found, that B vitamins increase in sprouts by as much as 2000%. Similar research carried out at the University of Pennsylvania reported that the general average vitamin increase in sprouts lays at around 500%. Pretty much all vegetables, especially leafy greens and greens in general, including sea vegetables contain B vitamins, and several contain B12 as well. As I said earlier, the abovementioned is a small list - please Google! Besides what is mentioned here, Marmite is another vegetarian source of B12. Some like it, some don't, but it is a source. Almost everything I have written here can be found worldwide, so there is no need to feel that you are left out - none of what I have added here is an elusive product - ebay is your friend! If a doctor is a decent doctor with proper training in nutrition, they should also be providing vegetarian sources for vitamins and minerals, and not simply prescribing meat eating which causes alot of problems both within the human body and to the environment. Thankyou everyone for your kind consideration in this issue. best regards, Melissa (aka Silver d.d.)
