After a few tries when you become quite familiar with the words, you can begin recitals of holy words along with the offerings. Rudraksha beads can be blessed by any priest who knows how to do it. Puja for rudraksha is not described in any Shastra (as far as I know) but no shastra said offerings cannot be done.
