Solar Eclipse is going to happen on 26th of Jan 2009 , in the

afternoon between 2.26pm to 3.46 pm , 10 or 15 mins differs from place

to place. If Solar eclipse is happenning on Monday , Amavasya, its

called Choodamani sanjnaka grahana.

 

This day nobody should eat anything from the morning till grahana

finishes, after that you have to prepare a fresh food and eat.Food

inside stomach may couse poisonous.Everybody should be with empty

stomach at the time of eclipse.

 

This eclipse time is a very big parva kaala to achieve Gods blessings,

in this choodamani sanjnaka Sudarshana chakra of Sri Maha Vishnu will

come to earth and will bless all your wishes.So all should perform

japam. OM SHRIM HRIM AIM KLIM KRISHNAAYA NAMAHA OM for 108 times,

before doing this should perform Gayathri mantra japam, and also

should chant Vishnu Sahasra naamam. Take bath after eclipse starts,

then perform all japam and sthothram , then give Pitru Tarpanam (one

who dont have father) .
