Guest guest
Namaste Srikanth, Thank you so much for sending the picture and details from the internet newspaper which you saw. I felt sad that this rudraksha is a fake bead with 2 cobras and a Shivalinga with yoni base carved on the bead very skillfully. Such beads are sold all over India outside or near temples and holy places. They are touted as one mukhi rudraksha or 'rarest rudraksha' with cobras, Shivalingam on yoni base and sometimes just with Om symbol or cobra, serpent or trishul. Its unfortunate that many shopkeepers and stall-holders do not realize they are fake one mukhi beads and hence they sell believing they are selling the real thing. And the worst is the customer paying a lot of money and taking it home for worship without knowing its fake. In the next message, I shall post information about how to identify genuine rudraksha. Once again, thanks for bringing the article and image to our attention as its important for us all to learn and know about genuine rudraksha.
