Dear Respected Sunil,

You are most welcome. Please scroll below for answers to your questions...

a) After your parcel arrives, put the malas on the altar. Friday is good for wearing Crystal Mala as its Devi's day. Crystals are sacred to Devis.

b) Monday is Lord Shiva's day, hence its considered auspicious for beginning to wear rudrakshas. Take a bath in the morning and put on fresh clothes. Go to the puja room, make some small offerings to Lord Shiva like fruits, unsalted nuts, betel, flowers, milk, honey, curd, ghee lamp and incense. Waft the mala with the incense smoke, repeat "Om Namah Shivaya" 9 times then put on your Siddh Mala.

c) Please try to wear your mala as much as possible during daylight hours. It needs to assimilate with your body system and you need to acclimatize with its energies. This balances the body system and according to scientific experiments in hospitals, rudrakshas can assist with clearing high blood pressure, high cholesterol and lessen cardiac ailments. While the beads are helping the wearer in a healthy way, especially if we also meditate while wearing them, we become more spiritual. Rudraksha has the ability to make us change or guide us further in our spiritual journeys. At night before going to sleep, its fine to take the mala off and placing it on the altar.

Om Bholenath
