To Anil / Chanting Gayatri mantra without initiation ?

Dear Anil Kumar,

 

There are four levels of guru. Guru, Param Guru, Paratpar Guru & Parameshthi Guru, like four levels of education viz. schooling, bachelor degree, master degree & PHD.

 

A true guru will not give initiation to somebody unless he is permitted by his guru or param guru. Param guru will not give OK unless permitted by his guru i.e paratpar guru. At the highest level Parameshthi guru is SadaShiva. Yes, in this yuga finding a true guru is so difficult. If you cannot find a guru do Sadasiva mantra `Om Haum Sah' daily 108 times for 60 days. Sadasiva himself will initiate you and after that you can start chanting full Gayatri mantra.

 

This is as per teaching of the parampara to which I belong.

Dear Sivakumar,

 

Just wondering why you are doing Gayatri Mantra? It has nothing to do with Mahalakhsmi or venus.

 

1. Gayatri mantra purifies our past karmas, improves intelligence & health

2. 25% of the japa goes to the account of our Pitris (means all fore-fathers & fore-mothers on both father's & mother's sides)

3. Without initiation, one should not recite the first line `Om Bhur Bhubah Swah'

4. There are misconcept that Gayatri mantra cannot be recited by ladies. It is a completely wrong idea. In olden days, hindu ladies were also used to wear sacred thread and used to get initiated in Gayatri mantra. Then, the sacred thread were worn by all - irrespective of cast.
