Guest guest
Namaste Pawl, Such web sites as Grouply can be tedious after a while of using them. I haven't been invited to join Grouply. Even if I had been, I wouldn't bother due to lack of time each day. Here's a blurb about their company profile below. And below that are 2 warnings about Grouply. Quote ------- Company Information ---------- Grouply enables you to access all of your email lists, discussion boards, and online groups like and Google Groups from one place with a superior user experience. People love their groups, but they are frustrated and overwhelmed by all the events, announcements, classified ads, job postings, and questions and answers piling up in their inboxes. With Grouply's Intelligent Filtering System, you can keep up with your existing online groups in 80% less time. Other offerings such as Ning enable a group leader to start a new group from scratch, each on its own website. But this makes the problem worse for end users, not better. Most people already belong to a number of groups across different systems, and the last thing they want is yet another website to go to. Grouply is unique because it integrates all your existing groups into a single website. You access all of your existing through Grouply even while others continue to access them through , and the Grouply Real-time Integration Engine keeps everything in sync automatically. http://www.crunchbase.com/company/grouply Unquote ---------------------------- Beware of Grouply It would be especially useful to read info from the link below. http://www.divineva.com/blog/uncategorized/beware-of-grouply Grouply February 07, 2008 07:34 PM EST views: 909 | rating: 8.7/10 (7 votes) | comments: 12 What is it with people and grouply? I've been getting spam generated by grouply (8 so far today) under the guise of support tickets because some people actually have grouply as their e-mail address in . I looked at Grouply and I said, as most should, why would I give a third party my passwords to and Google and possibly other sites? It opens you up for someone to use your e-mail to spam other people! What's to stop them from harvesting all the e-mails from all your groups? Nothing! They have your passwords. Maybe it makes things easier for the person using grouply, but it's giving the rest of us a headache. Grouply wonders why and Google group mods are blocking them? Oh I don't know... it wouldn't be all the spam, would it??? http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.jsp?articleId=281474977252502
