Guest guest
Namaste Hiroko, Yes, encouraging you to continue reading the Bhagavat Gita. You are right that anger is just maya. All on earth is maya (illusion) and 'leeya' (play). Its good that you've come to this realization. Also good that you are participating in homa for getting rid of past karma. Ancestor tarpan is important for many people. Its just that they are anaware of it. In Japan there are certain Buddhist sects that conduct ancestor tarpan. The only difference is that they use different words, prayers, dates, mandalas, ingredients and rituals for this ceremony. Example: Shinto priests do it different. Shingon priests also do it differently at their temples or monasteries. In Japan, most Buddhist practices originate from Tibet, especially Esoteric Buddhist like Shingon ( a Buddist sect). Shinto practices originate from animalistic times in Japan but adopted or added some Buddist practices into their rituals as time went by.
