Tulasi Vivaha(Prabhodothsava)

Dear Devotees,

 

This Karthika month is very very favourite month for Sri

Domadara.Performing archana with tulasi and dathri will never lead a

devotee to naraka and will give all Bhogas and sukham in this world

by the grace of Lord Damodara. Here is a Short story of Tulasi

Prabhava, (Power of tulasi ):

 

This was a story taken in skanda puranam sixteenth canto, its a

discussion between Chaturmukha brahma and Narada.

 

Brahma: Narada whomever perform the the puja of Lord Sri Hari with

tulasi and datri archana in this month will defenitely attain moksha,

howmuch punyam they are getting is not measurable.(Countless

punyam).On a part of this here is a story.

 

Whomever reads this story itself leads to moksha, and will be going

out from this sansara sagara. There was a city called Karaveerapura,

brahmin by name Dharmadatta was reciding in that city.He was verymuch

interested in performing all vratas and was performing to attain

moksha. One day at the starting of Brahma muhurtha he was rushing to

Vishnu temple with some tulasi dhatri and kamandalu full of pure

water and also some puja materials.One female pishacha (demon )

attacked Dharmadatta in his way.He was so much scared and hit that

demon with his bag, which contains dhatri and tulasi, just when this

touched that demon , demon became a beautyful girl and started

conversing with Dharmadatta.

 

Pujya brahmin I got relieved from my demon birth and now you tell me

how to get mukthi?? Brahmin asked that girl, who are you? where are

you from ?why you got birth as demon?

 

She explains:I got releived with this pishacha janma with a grace of

you and power of Tulasi and dhatri,by this I also memorised what

mistake I did in my past life, now I explain you everything.

 

Hey Brahmin I am from Sourashtra desha,I got married with a brahmin

called Bikshu,my name was Kalaha, I was allways fight with my husband

and I never given sukham to him, I use to eat all good food , if

there is anything remaining I use to give my husband, my husband was

very much tired of me and he was planning for the second marriage,

when I heard this news, I ate poison and did sucide, after that

yamadootas taken me to yamadharama, yama asked chitragupa to read her

sin, then Yamadharma decided to give her pretha deha (demon body)

which is not at all comfortable, allways hungry .very rude in look ,

this is how I became demon.Please show me a way for attaining moksha.

 

Then Dharmadatta taken Tulasi dala kept some water in hand and

chanted Sri Vasudeva Dwadashakshara mantra and poured that water on

demon, when poured water touched her , she became some more

beautyful , then she did pradakshiney Namaskara to brahmin , at that

time Vishnu dootas came to that girl and taken her to moksha.

Vishnudootas told Darmadatta to continue all the vratas , and as a

karthika vrata phalam you are very close to Lord Sri Hari,you will

become a father of him, when he takes Ramavatharam in Threthayuga,

then you will also attain moksha. Whomever reads this story will

defenitely achieve whatever they want with the blessings of Lord Sri

Hari,
