Guest guest
Namaste Anil, Sorry to hear this happening. The white residue is likely to be mould, depending on climate and home temperature conditions. All malas and beads need maintaining after washing, drying completely and then oiling them. This is a sure way of preventing insects. When we leave beads and malas exposed on the altar without oiling maintenance, sometimes insects get into them to lay eggs. Wash everything with mild soapy water. Put them in the sun to dry. Make sure they are completely dry before preparing the oiling mixture such as sandalwood and almond, then brushing all beads with a soft toothbrush, includind chirmi beads. Wipe the Wealth Box with a cotton ball or cloth dipped in oil. After this, put everything back as you did before. Alternatively the Lotus Seed Mala 27+1 beads can be put in a plastic bag, sealed and placed next to cystal Shree Yantra. Hope this helps.
