Guest guest
Namaste Anil, You are always welcome. Glad you are clear how to proceed. Before performing japa, drink some water to prevent dehydration which causes lethargy. Do not perform mantra japa with a full stomach which causes discomfort and exhaustion for some people. Do some pranayama exercises or breathe in and out gently and slowly for about 15 minutes to half an hour. The breathing should bring the mind, body and spirit to calmness. When calmness is achieved then proceed with mantra japa. If you are doing 2 mantras one after the other, after 108 times of the first one, take a rest for half an hour before commencing the 2nd one. During rest time, its also essential to drink water or tea and do some pranayama again to attain calmness of mind. You will find that during the state of calmness which is conducive to meditation or mantra japa, there is less likeliness of making mistakes as the mind is also conscious of every syllable while its being recited. The chances of rushing is also very much reduced. You will also find that without rushing, one can actually conclude japa in faster time. All the above takes time to cultivate and practise makes perfect with the passage of time. If you can begin with the above slowly, allowing yourself time to practise gently without being anxious, dehydrated, short of breath and come out with no lethargy, it will benefit a lot. Hope this helps. Om Bholenath , Anil Kumar <yogi75ank wrote: > > Namaste Narasimhaye, > > Dhanyavaad for all the clarifications. But there are some days after we do mantra japa for sometime and it reaches a certain level and past karma's before clearing out bring in lethargy or some kind of problem and then we make a small mistake and it becomes a big issue etc. etc. and eventually we run short of time. > > Just a bit skeptic on that part as I see a bit of travel in the coming few months due to work. > > Hoping that God/ess will keep things calm. > > Aum Sree GauriShankaray Namah >
