Guest guest
Namaste Aksha.Rudra, The right hand is the 'Power Hand' and the left hand is the 'Receiving Hand'. The holding of rudraksha beads in the hand when reciting mantra is auspicious. It symbolizes " receiving of blessings and empowerment " . This only applies to those who wish to recite only the Beeja Mantras for each bead on their mala. You have a good point about not having to hold the bead in the hand as it already touches the body when one is wearing the mala. This is fine as its also auspicious as it also represents the receiving of blessings and empowerment. For those who wish to wear the mala, they can do it. For others who feel more comfortable with holding each bead in the hand, its fine too. Its a matter of personal choice.
