Guest guest
Namaskar Parthi, Rudraksha should not be cleansed with very hot water. Just lukewarm water with mind soap is fine. After washing, most beads turn a darker color and when they are fully dry, the color may remain dark but gives a healthy look. Remember to always let your beads dry completely before oiling. Do not oil when the beads are still damp because mold will form when they are not in use. Rudrakshas do not shrink. The appearance of shrinkage is mostly due to what the eye can see as a darker color. For example when we wear dark clothes we always appear slimmer. With cleaning, rudrakshas do not lose their properties and effects at all. When oiling, its fine to use a combination of olive and Sandalwood oil. Hope this helps.
