To Rajesh / wearing rudraksh mala while going thru security checks at airport

Namaste Rajesh,

I have had two such experiences. One in the middle east where I am currently working and the other in Europe while I was travelling on work last month.

1) I was attending an event realted to airports and the security was very very tight and I realised that Iam wearing my Rudraksha mala in silver chain with silver caps just when I was reaching the security check point. Every little metal piece people before me had was being detected( rings, chains, coins etc.) and it just dawned on me that I will have to remove my mala in front of others and the security personnel will definitely take it in their hands before putting it under the scanning machine. Left with no choice, prayed sincerely and went ahead after removing my rings, coins, keys etc. but not the mala and Surprise there was no beep from the security scanner. Needless to say I was in heaven for a few seconds.

This was in the month of Novemeber / December 2007 and I had written about it in this forum.

2) The second encounter was in Europe and while passing through security I was confident that the mala will not beep, but it did and I had to take out the mala and the security officer inspected it before handing it over back to me. To be frank Upaguru was giving several reminders that it was time to clean and re-energize the beads but due to time constraint before travel I couldn't do it. So when the mala had to be removed in front of others and was handled by someone else for a few minutes on my return trip, I took it as a message and cleaned the Rudraksha mala immediately upon arrival back home.

Namaste all,Did anyone had any unpleasant experiences wearing rudraksh mala and going thru the security checks at the airport? does the security scanner cause any problem on detecting the rudraksh beads? I might be travelling outside india next month and hence this question.Thanks,Rajesh
