Namaste Girish,

My two and a half cents worth of advice....

If you are not able to visualise all the different Siddh mala designs while meditating, then it is recommended to take a colour print out of all the designs and look at them when you are completely at peace and no one is disturbing you. Keep looking intently at the various designs and automatically you will feel an affinity to one or two particular designs. After you zero in on one or two designs then it is only a matter of time for you to figure out the ideal design you would like to go for.

Hope this helps.

Namaskar Girish,

The types of beads you have mentioned are ones to be strung with the Main Beads of Siddha Mala. Its a matter of personal preference whether you like crystal, pearl, smooth 5 mukhis or Nepal 5 mukhis in woollen spacers and thread. These are just the necklace designs for the Main Beads.

Most importantly is to note that the Main Beads that comprise a Siddh Mala are an "Akshamalika" (garland of letters).

The properties of Siddh Mala are mentioned as follows:

All mantra (whose count is 7 crores) & all knowledge reside in this mala.

• For the successful achievers and ambitious people who want to reach the top level.

• According to Puranas, a person who wears Rudraksha from 1 to 14 Mukhi becomes Lord Shiva incarnate.

• This has rudraksha beads representing all planets and representing all Devi and Devatas.

• You may get everything what you can dream.

• This is the most powerful healing mala.

• This mala maybe worn on body, or kept at altar for worship or even carried along in a pouch. Purpose: It is a very powerful healing mala. Worn for Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksha. The synergistic combination of all mukhis in a mala provides wearer with abundance in wealth, renewed energy, good health, spirituality and fulfillment of desires.

As said above, it is a matter of personal choice which design you wish to pick. Sit for some moments in meditation and ponder on which one would suit you best. Listen to the upaguru who will guide you.

Om Namah Shivaya
