Guest guest
Dear All: If any of you have not seen the movie SAMSARA i strongly recommend it. There was some discussion about the value of leading a householder's life versus that of taking sannyasa. This film goes a long way... even otherwise, the cinematography, the direction, the script even the spiritual instruction that flows through this movie are outstanding. I came out feeling as if in a trance of light hue just thought i would share this. jairam _______________ Take charge with a pop-up guard built on patented Microsoft® SmartScreen Technology. http://join.msn.com/?pgmarket=en-ca & page=byoa/prem & xAPID=1994 & DI=1034 & SU=http://\ hotmail.com/enca & HL=Market_MSNIS_Taglines Start enjoying all the benefits of MSN® Premium right now and get the first two months FREE*. Guest guest
SAMSARA is a film dubbed in English but the characters speak in Tibetan. It is about a Buddhist monk who questions his sannyasa and " strays " into the householder life. From there he grows. The movie though is more a eulogy on the correct attitude of mind in either stations of life and not one that praises the sannyasa life over the householder's or vice versa It was released in 2001 and is a debut film directed by Pan Nalin. If you ask me, it is the BEST movie i have ever seen and Nalin (an Indian Director) will grow to be one of the greatest, in my opinion. He has shades of Almodovar and Coppola and all other greats in him. More on this film can be learned from SAMSARAFILM.COM A MOVIE IS NOT WORTH SEEING ONCE IF IT IS NOT WORTH SEEING A SECOND TIME. AND THIS MOVIE IS WORTH SEEING A HUNDRED TIMES! That is how much i loved this movie thanks for asking and after you have seen it i would so much like to discuss it with people who have for so few have seen it jairam _______________ Take advantage of powerful junk e-mail filters built on patented Microsoft® SmartScreen Technology. http://join.msn.com/?pgmarket=en-ca & page=byoa/prem & xAPID=1994 & DI=1034 & SU=http://\ hotmail.com/enca & HL=Market_MSNIS_Taglines Start enjoying all the benefits of MSN® Premium right now and get the first two months FREE*.
