Guest guest
Namaste Amaratpal, Your friend is correct about there being no taboo to take rudrakshas off during menses. There is nothing in any Shastra that says otherwise. In fact the holy books mention that Rudraksha can be worn at all times by everybody. There are Hindus from strict backgrounds or happen to be superstitious who won't wear rudraksha during the female menstrual cycle. Most of their decisions are based on upbringing, background and beliefs. Some also make decisions based on their comfort level. If you feel comfortable about wearing the beads, then by all means do so. If not, place them on the Puja altar on a plate or in a box. I am a little confused at the statement as most websites clearly say that you are not supposed to wear them. I would appreciate any opinion and light shed on this. > > warm regards, > amaratpal,___
