Since it is a discussion on the divine Mother Goddess, Durga, I thought

I would contribute what little I know.

 

The Durga Devi Stutee consists of 18 verses and the Sooktam consists

of 25 verses. Personally, I am more comfortable with the Sooktam.

 

The Mahishaasuramardinee Stotram is very famous here in South India

and is very powerful for getting rid of enemies. More than our so-called

external enemies, the enemies which are within us like anger, greed, jealousy

and lust are more potent, harmful and difficult to control.

 

Once you start chanting these two stotras regularly, you will find that both

take less than 10 minutes to chant.
