Guest guest
Namaste Raja, Durga Suktam is a Hymm to Mother Durga. In Hindu mythology, Mother Durga is the destroyer of evil. A warrior goddess astride a lion or tiger, with many weapons in her hands (symbolising Her many powers), she plunges forth to kill and destroy the Evil to protect and cleanse the universe as the occasion arises. This hymn is an invocation to Mother Durga for Her protection and Grace. Durga Devi Sthuti is a sacred tribute to Maa Durga. Durga, in Sanskrit means " She who is incomprehensible or difficult to reach. " Goddess Durga is a form of Sakti worshiped for her gracious as well as terrifying aspect. Mother of the Universe, she represents the infinite power of the universe and is a symbol of a female dynamism. The manifestation of Goddess Durga is said to emerge from Her formless essence and the two are inseparable. Recitation of either Suktam or Stuti is fine. Jai Maa , " Raja Gursahani " <rajagursahani wrote: > > could you please tell me the difference or significance in the power of the > following with regards to durga: > > 1. Durga Devi Sthuti > > 2.
