11 mukhi Rudraksha – part 1

!! mukhi Rudraksha is among the most popular Mukhis among my friends

circle., Here in USA.

This is probably aided from the excellent commentary by Swami Tejo

Maya Nanda (chinmaya Mission) on Sundara Kand and Hanuman Chalisa.

(Available as CDs)

Also the popularity of Hanuman Ji is from the excellent audio

commentary on Valmiki Ramayana by Brahma sir Samavedam Shanmukha

Sharma and Sri Chaganti Koteswara Rao.

Also from word to mouth references of their experiences.

There are few quotes in Literature about which god one should

worship in Kali Yuga.

Some quote

" Kalowh Chandi -Vinayak ascha " .

Hanuman is a Chiranjeevi and He is eager to hear wherever Sri Rama

is worshipped and serve his Bhaktas..

In the last few centuries he gave Darshan to Sri Tulasi das,

Tyagaraja, Rama das Etc.

Almost all my friends and known people purchased them from Chinmaya

Mission trust. It is a way of supporting the great organization. They

do lot of social services like running schools for the children in

USA teaching Sanathana Dharma. Also the well known commentary on

Bhagavad-Gita and Upanishads from the Sanyasins of Chinmaya trust.

Here are comments by my friends and I totally agree with them.

He is a Chiranjeevi, living now, moves with the speed of wind,

physically strong and easy to please...

He says any one who worships Rama, " I will take care of all their

needs. "

Some comments are he does not want us to bother Sri Rama, with

trivial requests, hence he takes the lead., And fulfils all the

requests quickly.

At least keep a picture of Sri Rama pattabhishekam with Sri Rama,

Sri Lakshman and Sitaji when praying for Hanuman.

Sitaji prays in sundara Kand to Sri Hanuman " Dukhah kshya karo

Bhava " . Take way all my sorrows.

There is no conflict between Shiva and Hnauman.Hanuman is Shiva

himself.

By wearing an 11 Mukhi rudraskha and praying Hanuman You are

actually praying to Lord Shiva and Parvathi in a different form.

It is a form which gives strength. People will get courage ,strength

and will power and act upon their problems.

It is true Shiva can give Moksha and wealth. But the first thing

needed is will power and strength to come out an adverse situation.

Sivaji sys to Parvathi Mata " I am going to serve Bhagavan Vishnu in

Sri Rama Avatar.

Immediately Parvathi asks " What about me?

I too will follow you like a tail

..For that Sri Shiva replies " so let it be "

Please note Siva parvathi, gauri Shankar are not separable. After

all He is Ardhanaraeeshwara.

As per some puranas and tantric literature the tail of Sri Hanuman

represents divine mother parvathi.

In some places in India for example, in Suchendram near Kanya kumari

puja is offered to the tail and it is worshipped. It is a famous

temple.

Unfortunately many of the pictures do not represent the accurate

description of Hanuman by Sage valmiki. The tail reaches up to the

neck of Hanuman. The last part of the tail is curved. He wears a

white dhoti. (Check Valmiki Ramayana Sundara Kand).

In another post I will say few things I learned from people wearing

11 Mukhis, their method of worship. Not much from Puranic

literature, But day to day observations here in USA.

Regards.
