Chin Mudra--.Good for meditation, very simple to practice.

As per the traditional subtle anatomy the fingers represent

Various planets

Various Gunas such as Satwa, Rajo, Tamo Gunas

And Pancha bhootas, .Such as Pridhvi, vayU, Akash. Agni and water.

Tridoshas can be balanced such as Vata, pitta and Kapha with various

mudras

Chin Mudra is a great adjunct for meditation and for those who wear

Rudrakshas.

One can look at the Picture of Sri Adi Shankara, and get further

information from Google search.

The Thumb represents Paramathma

The index finger represents Jeevatma.

The Middle, ring and Little fingers represents Satwa, Rajo and Tamo

Gunas.

These Three fingers are always associated and touch the Index

Finger. The Soul is always under the influence of the three gunas.

The purpose of chinumudra is

To be free from the 3 Gunas. (Guna traya Ateetah)

Another purpose ---Jeevatma to be in association with Paramatma.

The practice is simple .No one will notice it. Results tranquility

and better meditation.

The thumb represents the paramatma.(Jeevo Angusta matrena)

All that is necessary is to touch the index finger to the thumb and

keep the rest of the 3 fingers flexed.
