Namaste Narasimhaye,

A quick clarification on point number two.

Will there be any adverse effects if Mantra Sadhana is not done at the fixed time everyday?

Of late on weekends due to family commitments sometimes Mantra Sadhana is not done at the fixed time.

Namaste Anupriya,

Regarding more information about mantra sadhana, please see the next message. Meanwhile to answer your questions:

1) Once you begin a mantra sadhana, its important not to stop for a few days then continue. You need to discipline yourself to do it everyday until you finish the final day of the mantra. 'Sadhana' means discipline, hence the requirement for training yourself to stay with it, not stray from it.

2) Its necessary to chant a mantra 108 times daily at the same hour.

3) Do not do more mantras on one day and reduce the next.

4) Do not feel disheartened. Its only a matter of time before your concentration span and focus returns. Mantra sadhana is one of the best ways of learning to re-focus again and be down to earth instead of letting the mind become scattered when it comes to studies and other matters requiring concentration.

5) The mantra that is suitable for you right now for your studies is Goddess Saraswati's mantra:

Om Aim Saraswatiye Namaha.

Jai Maa
