I AM DEAD AGAINST FEMALE INFANTICIDE.

 

But appart from the emotional appeal of Mr Bhatia's

email, if we look in to Hindu Scriptures regarding

instances of abortion, some of the interesting things

that come out are listed below:

 

1) Practicing astrologers say that, many couples who

are left childless are in such condition because they

had done abortion in their previous birth.

(remember... even when medical science was not so

advansed, there were herbal concotions for inducing

abortion).

 

2) Jiva/soul inhabits the feutus only after it

complets 4 months in the womb. Till then its just a

part of the mothers flesh with no seperate identity.

 

3) Men learned in the ways of Manthra and tantra and

actually induce the feutus to develop as a boy or girl

if they start their work before 3 months. (apparently

some of the popular means in this route is feeding the

prospective mother with butter charged with the

appropriate mantras for abt 41 days.

 

Irrespective of whether we agree or disagree on the

above, their is one thing certain.. even more certain

that then sun rising in the horizon tomorrow... thats,

Thou Shall reap what you sow... the results of your

karma will invariably come to you...
