Dear Rajesh,

Its good that you had Shiva Puja done on Shivaratri day but sorry to

hear you were gifted with a defective parad by the astrological site

you mentioned. Many people had the same problem as you. I know the

site you mentioned. The parad they have is not pure and not made by

genuine spiritually and scientifically trained parad-makers. Hence

the corroding of your silver plate.

Don't be scared that your family has in the past drunk water as

prasad after abhishekam but please don't do it again as the parad you

have is faulty. As a result of it staining or corroding the silver

plate, it could mean the parad was layered with inferior metals, no 8

samskaras performed and not made properly according to Parad Sanmhita.

Its best to replace it with one available from Rudra Centre with

guarantee certificate. Meanwhile, offer prayers to the one you have

and mention what's happened and why you need to dispose of it. There

won't be any sin on your part and the Parad Shivling and Shiva will

understand and forgive. Take the parad to the temple and explain the

circumstances to the priest who can dispose of it for you. Make a

donation to the priest or the temple.

Om Namah Shivaya
