Guest guest
Dear Blue, You're welcome any time. Also welcome to ask further questions whenever they arise. If your experience with your current gems is such that their energies work well for you, then don't take them off. Rudrakshas do not have side effects. For them to properly assimilate with the owner, its best to wear them continually although they can also be placed on the altar for worship. For those who cannot handle the energies of higher mukhi beads, its fine to wear them for some hours or certain days, then remove them. Generally this is unlikely to happen unless the individual is highly sensitive. Some first time wearers of rudraksha need to begin with lower mukhi beads before going for higher mukhis. Simply possessing the beads brings blessings too but it does not beat wearing them on the skin. You will find that a lot of people may gravitate to a rudraksha wearer without their conscious knowing. Its just that they feel there is a positive energy somewhere that they can benefit from. Don't worry about people thinking that the beads look like odd jewelry. Just wear them with confidence and you might find some folks telling you how beautiful the beads are and where they come from. However if this is truly not possible, its fine to carry the beads in a pouch in the pocket or handbag. Good to hear you already have a Japa mala for chanting mantras. The effects of higher mukhi beads will be noticeable too if not more so.
