Dear Asaithamby,

The scripture was mentioned in very old posts in this Group but I can't

find it and also can't recall exactly which one right now. It may be

Shiva Purana, Rudraksha Japalopanishad, Padma Purana, Skanda Purana,

Srimad Devi Bhagavatam or some other one. (If any friend here can help

us find the reference, we shall be very grateful, thanks.)

Anyway, here's some info about 14 mukhi that I can remember:

Shiva Purana praises how 14 mukhi Rudraksha rules the cosmic world and

humans and is regarded as a favorite possession not just by humans but

also by devas and devis. Its properties are comparable to the power of

Lord Shiva. In Srimaddevibhagavat, Narayan glorified the importance of

14 mukhi with special emphasis on wearing it to attain spiritual

freedom and the virtues of Lord Shiva himself. Mantramaharnava revealed

upon wearing 14 mukhi beads, great intuition can be gained by the

wearer and he/she would be able to predict and foresee the future.

14 mukhi is Shree Kantha and is blessed by Lord Shiva. 14 mukhi also

represents Tripura. This rudraksha helps to purify the souls of

ancestors. Its also known as Maha Shani and removes the malefic

effects of Saturn and is also said to remove Kala Sarpa Yoga. It also

strengthens the Ajna Chakra when worn on the forehead during meditation

sessions.

Om Namah Shivaya
