Sairam, 7th & 8th ways of Navavidha Bhakthi:

Dasya (service) &

Sakyatava (friendship):

Dasya is doing service, helping people who are less

fortunate. Baba always insisted on it, which is the ultimate service to God. Service

could be verbal, monetary, physical or any kind of help. I believe Baba shows

the path of service to His devotees after making them understand His philosophy.

Service has to be done by taking His name with Love and Passion without any

expectations.

It is one of the best kinds of

Bhakti to our Pujya Guru without which we cannot progress in spiritual path. At

the end of the day it’s an account between Baba and us, our service, our good

deeds and bad deeds nothing else matters and we all are accountable to Him.

Sakyatva (friendship):

Sakyatva is accepting Baba as our best friend. A good friend

is a friend who can comfort you, makes you happy, cheerful even when we are sad

which is exactly how we feel in the presence of Baba. By Just sitting in front

of Baba we feel calmness, happiness & peacefulness. He runs to us and takes

care of us in all situations even without asking. We all are fortunate to have

our very special and unique friend Baba on whom we can depend at any point of

life.

What else can we ask if we have a friend like Baba?I encourage others to share their thoughts too.May Baba Bless Us In Our Spiritual Growth,Anu

******************************************************* Sairam, Happy Navrathri to you all. Baba spoke of Nav-vidha bhakthi, 9 ways of showing devotion to gods. I invite you to share your ideas on each type Baba mentions each day this would in a way reinforce His teachings and also help us analyse our actions and prayers towards BABA. The Nav Vidha Bhakthi mentioned are (1) Shravana (Hearing); (2) Kirtana (Praying); (3) Smarana (Remembering); (4) Padasevana (resorting to the feet); (5) Archana (Worship); (6) Namaskara (Bowing); (7) Dasya (Service); (8) Sakhyatva (Friendship); (9) Atmanivedana (surrender of the self). I will commence this by writing my thoughts on the first type of Bhakti - Shravana in my next email. Baba bless us and listen to all our prayers.
