Guest guest
Namaste Hiroppi, every religion and holy text has their own individual truths and untruths. The Srimad Devi Bhagavatam was written thousands of years ago in Sanskrit. There are many translated versions of it. It depends on which version you are reading. The passage or some passages may be misinterpreted by the translator who may be a Sanskrit scholar but not necessarily had understood the 'twilight language' completely unless he is an initiated disciple who was orally taught by his guru for many, many years. While persons who criticize rudrakshas might have defects, it does not necessarily mean they are bastards. They may be aethists or from other religious backgounds so they may not use rudraksha nor believe in its effectiveness. We cannot blame them and cannot judge them for their upbringing, family background or religious beliefs. From another perspective, there is no truth nor untruth; everything is one and the same. Especially during this Kali Yuga, some of what was written long ago may not apply or it will create animosity and enemity amongst humankind who cannot recognize Leela or Maya.
