Understanding The Virgo-Pisces August 28, 2007 Lunar Eclipse Effects Pt. 2 - Scientific and Spiritual Approaches : by Robert Wilkinson We pick up the narrative by examining what the NASA site has to say about this Total Lunar Eclipse of August 28, 2007: The event is widely visible from the United States and Canada as well as South America, the Pacific Ocean, western Asia and Australia. During a total lunar eclipse, the Moon's disk can take on a dramatically colorful appearance from bright orange to blood red to dark brown and (rarely) very dark gray. The color and brightness of the totally eclipsed Moon can vary considerably from one eclipse to another. Dark eclipses are caused by volcanic gas and dust which filters and blocks much of the Sun's light from reaching the Moon. But since no

major volcanic eruptions have taken place recently, the Moon will probably take on a vivid red or orange color during the total phase. After the total phase ends, it is once again followed by a partial eclipse as the Moon gradually leaves the umbral shadow. The total phase of a lunar eclipse is called totality. At this time, the Moon is completely immersed within the Earth's dark umbral shadow. Since its totality lasts 90 minutes implies that its effects will last 90 months, according to traditional ways of measuring Lunar Eclipses. That means this Eclipse plays a significant role in what is coming between now and 2012, since its effects will last through 2014. With the Moon conjuncting Uranus and the North Node, we will be shown forms of mastering discouragement, as well as the formation of groups that will help many to embrace new self development. Revolution will be in the air, and we will all learn forms of

compassion and forgiveness individual to our circumstances. We are all being individuated by recent and present eclipses due to the Uranian-North Node influence, and can find a Higher Law and Will through embracing forms of compassion, forgiveness, and vast understanding of what is common to us all within a Solar systemic or even Galactic perspective. See and feel the ocean of space, time, and Consciousness. The Sun is the Light, while the Moon gives form to that Light. With Sun in Virgo, we're offered ways to understand the place and function of all the specifics while the Moon gives a focus on the vaster field. Look for illumination and integration that shine a light on learning how Divine Discrimination works to sort out the real from the unreal, the greater from the lesser. This is the light of creative imagination that envisions a different way for things to work or sort out in the larger picture, and the Moon will provide the forms of

expression. In Pisces new motives will come forth, as will the need to bring some things to abrupt closure by applying will power as an expression of Divine Mind and intention. The Line of Greatest Evolutionary Development is on a degree of "hearing the call" to renewal, where tomorrow acts through today. We will grow through a new dedication to a larger work on behalf of humanity, and can experience "spiritual socialization." This Eclipse will show us new perspectives and insights, since Mercury is on the same degree of the South Node of the March 2007 Lunar Eclipse. We can understand from a new perspective how some things have exploded since then that released us from old complexes. and how our "will to wholeness" released stuff we held in check by ego for a long time. This Eclipse will create a lot of confusion calling us to create order out of chaos. Find your helpers, refrain from premature activity, and be inspiratonal in

guiding self and others to see what belongs where, and why. This is about glimpsing our place in the larger universal order, separating and uniting as is appropriate to our unique circumstances. Force nothing, allow nothing to deflect you from your larger course, keep your eyes on the prize, and be humble and non-assuming as you associate with others in good will. This Eclipse will challenge us to see our leadership qualities or find a group within which we can function as part of a larger whole. Because the Moon and North Node are in the part of Pisces whose keyword is "Federation," we can expect groups of people will be forming around common goals, hopes, and motives. Cultivate friendly relations, see that your interests lie with being part of a larger organized whole, and hold together with your allies. We have all been thrown on a quest by the Spring 2007 Eclipses, and had much taken away by the usual Eclipse effect. We were (and

are still) being challenged not to drag things out, move on as demands dictate, and preserve our dignity regardless of the circumstances in which we find yourselves. Many have now or will soon secure a position, a place, or an identity, but still not be at ease given the larger collective unrest. Be flexible as you find your fellowship, your group, your friends. Say goodbye to whatever, see how it fits into a larger picture, be compassionate and forgiving as you move through the changes, and open to newer, sweeter, more enjoyable inspirations already on the way! Also from the NASA site, a few words about the coming Partial Solar Eclipse of September 11: The last eclipse of 2007 is a partial solar eclipse at the Moon's descending node in southern Leo. Its visibility is confined to parts of South America, Antarctica and the South Atlantic (Figure 4). Greatest eclipse takes place at 12:31:21 UT when the eclipse magnitude will reach

0.7505. The penumbral contact times with Earth are as follows: Partial Eclipse Begins 10:25:46 UTPartial Eclipse Ends 14:36:33 UT That the coming Solar Eclipse is exactly conjunct the Sun of the 9/11 chart gives us pause for thought, and prayer that we will see the light behind that event and come to a higher realization of how to live with each other in our world. I would think as Mars transits Virgo in 2008 it will set into motion much of what these eclipses have portended, and so we can and should prepare accordingly for the "volcanic eruptions" promised by these lunations. During these next months (and years) purify, purify, and purify some more, since Pluto is stripping us all down to the core, regenerating whatever seed power we are on the highest and most effective of levels." With the powerfully harmonizing Saturn trine Pluto in this Eclipse chart we should all find the purification process stable,

pointing us to solid understandings of how to reclaim "lost opportunities" by using creative imagination, as well as natural boundaries and limitations that allow us to play with others in a field perfect for us. Just remember that Jupiter is biseptile Saturn, setting irrationality into motion on the world stage for quite some time to come. © Copyright 2007 Robert Wilkinson
