Does a Pooja on Guru Poornima help pacify the negative effects of Guru

Namaskar Rajesh, Guru Purnima is for paying respects and honoring

gods, gurus/saints who already attained mahasamadhi and living gurus.

Since you're devotee of Sai Baba, you can honor him.

 

Guru Purnima is not for puja to pacify " Guru as in planet Jupiter " .

 

For Jupiter, fasting should be observed on dark moon (Amavasya) and

on Thursday for pacification.
