Guest guest
Namaste Anil, there are several reasons why they carry a cane with a curved top. I think one is for hitting people or animals which get in their way The other is for helping them to walk steadily especially when ambling along uneven ground, walking through the jungle, climbing hills or going up mountains. The stick is also for balance, one hand holding it and the other holding a mala while reciting mantra. Yes they use it for resting their arms/hands. Some of them would have special canes that contain a compartment under the curved head for storing herbs or holy items. Pretty sure there would be wonderful antique specimens of these, encrusted with gems or semi-precious stones but they will be very hard to find. Otherwise a custom-made one would be ok too.
