Namaskar Vai_Rudraksha,

You are always welcome. Its good to know that when you get blooms of

the flowers from your Brahma Kamal plant, you offer them to the Shiv

Linga. Its also good that you know not to smell flowers that are to

be offered to any deity. Often, flowers offered to God with

devotion, tend to smell even more divinely then when they were

freshly picked.

You are doubly blessed to have many flowers bloom for 2 years between

July and September! Maybe its due to the condition of the soil,

temperature and climate you are in. High up in the Himalayas, its

freezing cold and some plants hibernate so this may well be the case

for Brahma Kamal that are grown there. The other guess could be that

there are different species of Brahma Kamal and some bloom every year

but others bloom only every 14 years.

Please log in directly at this Group and go to the Photos section

which is found on the left of the monitor. Then please upload your

photo of Brahma Kamal there. Afterwards, please let me know and I

shall take a look.

Meanwhile, I shall try to find pictures of Brahma Kamal on the web to

show you.

Om Namah Shivaya
