Guest guest
Namaste Lisa, Its great that your friend managed to quit smoking but sorry to hear she's continued consuming alcohol. Anything taken in moderation is fine but excessive drinking can take its toll on anyone. Please tell her to continue wearing her Personal Mala. If she wishes, and is serious about giving up alcohol, she can undertake a mantra sadhana of minimum 90 days or 108 days with either of the mantras below. The mantra she selects has to be chanted 108 times each day: 1) Om Arkaya Namaha --> This mantra means " Om and salutations to the Shining One who removes afflictions " . 2) Kshraum --> This is the beeja mantra for Lord Narasimha. Although it is mainly used for protection and a shield against evil and demons or getting rid of enemies, it can also be invoked for dealing with evil stubborn situations. This beeja mantra also releases a person's pent up energies, thereby allowing healing to occur. When reciting this mantra, its essential to visualize hidden power surrounding the person and giving strength to overcome addictions and other difficult problems. The mantra should be pronounced as " Raum " . Please also tell your friend to use a Japa Mala for keeping track of the number of mantras she's reciting. Besides performing Japa Sadhana, she should seek professional help for stopping alcohol and attend counselling sessions to discover why she is reliant on drinking. Hope this helps. I have got a good friend but she has an addiction problem. She gave up smoking one year ago, but she still consumes alcohol almost everyday, after leaving smoking. Would you have any advice for giving up addiction problems, any mantras, sadhanas, or rudrakshas to wear. She wears 1 to 12 mukhies mala but it didn''t prevent her from her addictions. She takes off her mala when she consumes alcohol as per your advices. > > Thank you very much for your advice in advance > > Aum Namah Shivaya
