Namaste Anil, Parad items are not toxic when sealed properly with

genuine religious preparation and mantras. I got mine from Rudra

Centre and wore them for some years now. So far they have no problems.

 

Perhaps if your parad items are placed in a nice box and made out to

be a gift or ornament (without mentioning religious use), it may have

a better chance of passing through Gulf customs. I know they are

tough on other cultures' religious things sometimes. It also depends

on which customs officer goes on duty for the day, whether nice or

nasty.

 

For parad mala, if it does not have a tassle, it will look like a

necklace and most people in the Gulf will not realize its a Hindu

prayer mala or religious mala for wearing.

 

Yes its a good idea to wait for guidance from above to see if you

should go ahead.
