Chipped edge on parad bead

I bought large parad bead (gold fed) few months back. The edge

near both holes which has been drilled are slightly chipped.

Unfortunately there were no silver caps on both holes and it was strung

in red adjustable thread. I have noticed some kind of green coating at

both ends. Does that mean, it's toxic?

I came accross a recent post, " Parad items are not toxic when

sealed properly with genuine religious preparation and mantras. " So, in

my case does that mean it's not sealed properly? I hope someone could

explain this.
