Happy chanting!  Meaning of Sadguru Stavam  1.   I prostrate to Sadguru Sat-Cit-Ananda, who is the embodiment of Truth, Supreme Knowledge, and Eternal Bliss, who is the Supreme Master of Yogic accomplishments and spiritual wisdom, and is Himself Lord Ganapati, the lord of all the groups of energies in existence. 2.   I prostrate to Sadguru Sat-Cit-Ananda, who is the embodiment of Truth, Supreme Knowledge, and Eternal Bliss, and who is Lord Dattatreya Himself, since he has lovingly gifted Himself to His devotees. 3.   I prostrate to Sadguru Sat-Cit-Ananda, who is the embodiment of Truth, Supreme Knowledge, and Eternal Bliss, and who was born of the Yogic radiance of the union between Mother Jayalakshmi and father Narasimha Sastry. 4.   I prostrate to Sadguru Sat-Cit-Ananda, who is the embodiment of Truth, Supreme Knowledge, and Eternal Bliss, who was born in the Hindu year Citrabhanu, and who bestows spiritual knowledge. 5.   I prostrate to Sadguru Sat-Cit-Ananda, who is the embodiment of Truth, Supreme Knowledge, and Eternal Bliss, and who has taken the vow to perform the Sri Cakra Puja everyday and the Ganesa HÅma every Sunday. 6.   I prostrate to Sadguru Sat-Cit-Ananda, who is the embodiment of Truth, Supreme Knowledge, and Eternal Bliss, and who, having been taught to be a Master of the Sciences of Healing by Sage Agastya, cures all types of diseases including the one of being stuck in the endless cycle of birth and death. 7.   I prostrate to Sadguru Sat-Cit-Ananda, who is the embodiment of Truth, Supreme Knowledge, and Eternal Bliss, who is an ocean of divine sound, a musician par excellence who expertly plays many instruments, and who is an adept at singing the sacred names of God. 8.   I prostrate to Sadguru Sat-Cit-Ananda, who is the embodiment of Truth, Supreme Knowledge, and Eternal Bliss, who presides over Avadhoota Datta Peetham, who skillfully protects Dharma using unique strategies, and who is a superb poet and composer. 9.   I prostrate to Sadguru Sat-Cit-Ananda, who is the embodiment of Truth, Supreme Knowledge, and Eternal Bliss, who is a Universal Guru, who is an Avadhoota, one who is supremely liberated and self-supportive, and one who dispels the delusion of devotees. 10.          By chanting this Sadguru Stavam one gains a peaceful attitude, devotion, lordship, charitable nature, freedom from disease, a noble mind, spiritual wisdom, and bliss.  Sri Guru Datta    Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
