Yours sincerely, Ivan  ---  AUM namaH shivAya shivAya namaH AUM On Behalf Of narasimhaye Monday, March 31, 2008 4:11 PM RBSC : To Ivan / Rudrani Namaskar Ivan, I've just been informed by a rudraksha expert that Rudrani does not come from Rudraksha trees or rudraksha flowers. Rudrani are considered by genuine suppliers to be fake - they are some kind of seeds made into malas and sold as small rudraksha at high prices. Many people who don't know the truth, wear these seeds innocently in gold because the small size makes them attractive for wearing. The so-called seeds are made into malas, some resemble 2 mukhi malas, some 3 mukhis and some mukhi-less malas. These are NOT related in any way to Rudraksha and have no confirmed benefits except of course the looks. Rudrani are not related to Rudraksha at all. This is even though they look a little like rudraksha. Rudrani are fake beads sold under the name of Rudraksha. Rudraksha trees in Nepal do not produce rudrani seeds in their flowers.
