In all, 1600 devotees from 150 countries attended the concert. S.R. Nathan, President of Singapore, was among the audience. The accompanists were Vidwans Dr. Yella Venkata Raghava Rao from Hyderabad and Shankar Ramesh from Mysore (Mridanga), Dr. M. Manjunath from Mysore and Jaitra Varanasi from Ashram group (Violin), Dr. N. Ramani (Flute) and V. Suresh (Ghatam) from Chennai, Ramanjuan (Morching) from Mysore and Mani (Keyboard) from Ashram group. The Swamiji has performed 270 such concerts all over the world and yesterday's was the 271st concert. The Swamiji said that the concert had nothing to do with any religion. " It is for the welfare of the whole mankind " , he added. K.V. Aiyappan, one of the representatives of Datta Yoga Centers spread across the world, which organised the event, told Star of Mysore that there is nothing religious. " It is pure music and nothing else. It is beyond religion being conducted for the welfare of the mankind as the Swamiji has said. " Dr. Nityananda Rao, Orthopaedician, Mysore Hotel Owners' Association President M. Rajendra, Zubair of National Marbles, Chartered Accountant Ranga-nathan, Musician Padma Murthi and her violin-exponent husband T.S. Murthy, are among the 30 pro- minent personalities from Mysore who attended the concert. Grand reception The devotees of Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji in Bangalore have planned a grand reception for him on his return from Singapore on Jan. 26. The ceremony will be held at Karyasiddhi Mantapa in Girinagar, Bangalore at 6 pm. It is reported that the Swamiji will be welcomed with 108 kalashas.
